What We Collect
Take Selfies collects account details such as your email address, username, display name, profile photo, and Supabase account identifier. We also store the reference selfies you choose to upload, selfie briefs and preferences, generated images, public or private visibility choices, favorites, follows, blocks, content reports, credit balance, and purchase entitlement events.
Apple processes your payment method. We receive product, purchase, renewal, expiration, and entitlement information through RevenueCat, but we do not receive your full payment card or bank account details.
Face References And AI Processing
Reference selfies are used to preserve your appearance in requested generations. The iPhone performs local face-visibility and image-quality checks, and the backend sends accepted references and your compiled brief to our image-generation processors to create the requested selfie. We do not use reference photos for identity verification, advertising, or sale of biometric profiles.
Our image processor is Google. Take Selfies does not opt user content into provider model training. Provider abuse-monitoring or safety retention may apply under their API terms unless a different approved data-control setting applies or longer retention is legally required.
How We Use And Share Data
We use your data to authenticate your account, generate and store selfies, personalize your selfie experience, operate credits and subscriptions, provide your gallery and social features, review content reports, enforce blocks, prevent abuse, recover failed generations, and answer support requests.
We use service providers including Supabase for authentication, database records, and private image storage; Apple and RevenueCat for purchases; Google for image generation; and Vercel for hosting and API delivery. They process data only to provide their services under their own security and privacy obligations. We do not sell personal data or use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Private And Public Content
Reference photos and generated images are private by default. A generated selfie or profile becomes public only when you choose the public setting. Public images may appear in feeds, public profile grids, and share links until you make them private or delete your account.
Retention And Deletion
We retain your account content while your account exists so we can provide the service. Generation and purchase ledger records may be retained as needed to prevent duplicate charges, provide refunds, meet accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service.
You can delete your account from Profile in the iOS app. This removes your profile, references, generated selfies, public links, favorites, follows, and remaining credits from the active service. We may retain a minimal deletion or transaction record where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, payment integrity, legal compliance, or backup expiry. Deleting Take Selfies does not cancel an Apple subscription; manage billing separately through your Apple account.
Your Choices
You control whether your profile and generated images are public. You can remove individual reference selfies, make shared images private, report public content, block or unblock another user, download your images, or delete your account. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive information about your personal data.
Children And Changes
Take Selfies is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change and will revise the effective date when we do.
